Vucic: Serbia under ENORMOUS pressure
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that the crisis caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine affects Serbia in a dramatic way.
At an extraordinary press conference in the Presidency building, Vucic said that from Friday until today „the world has become different“ and that „nothing is the same anymore“.
„Everything we lived until yesterday, thought and knew, suddenly no longer resembles what we know today,“ Vucic pointed out.
Vucic said that today there was „less understanding for the position of Serbia than ever before anywhere in the world“.
„It is not a question of our principles and the appropriateness of our attitude, it is a question of almost incredible circumstances that put us in a very difficult situation,“ he added.
Vucic stated that in the last two days he talked with the representatives of all „major countries“, including President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the representatives of the USA, Germany and France.
He added that the crisis in Ukraine contributed to „enormous“ price spikes on the market, adding that teams were formed today to monitor the petroleum situation.
