Vesic: Cleaning of CANALS to start on 1 August, everything ILLEGALLY constructed to be DEMOLISHED

The cleaning of the canals on the left bank of the Danube will begin on 1 August and the works will be carried out by Srbijavode, which is in charge of this task, said Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic, as a guest of Studio B TV. „There are about 950 kilometres of canals on the left bank of the Danube, of which 179 kilometres are in the residential zone, and the rest are agricultural canals. Now 200 to 300 kilometres of agricultural canals will be cleaned, financed by Al Dahra, the new owner of PKB, and we allocated 2.5 million euros for cleaning 179 kilometres in the residential zone. Everything that was illegally built on these canals will be demolished and cleaned from 1 August to 15 December, and at the same time we will do the reconstruction of the Reva pumping station so that it can pump more water. We have already developed solutions and Srbijavode will never allow anything illegal to be built at the canals because criminal charges will immediately be filed and actions will be taken in accordance with the law,“ Vesic said. He recalled that the construction of the sewage in this part of the city will begin in the spring, reports Beoinfo.
