Trivan: We have declared a war on plastic
The Minister of Environmental Protection Goran Trivan said that purchase of plastic bags has decreased by around 60 percent since introduction of charge for plastic bags.
According to statement, Trivan said that activities which will reduce the use of plastic packaging will commence soon as well.
„Plastic is one of the biggest environmental polluters, and Serbia is following Europe in addressing the crisis of plastic waste,“ Trivan said, commenting the global ecological campaign „Earth Hour“.
