Transport, procurement of raw materials and payments are the biggest problem for companies

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) Marko Cadez have talked with the representatives of the biggest companies operating with the Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian markets about the possibilities of maintaining business operation and solving the problems caused by the crisis in Ukraine.

According to the SCC, the companies’ representatives informed them about the problems they were facing in their daily business operations with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, which primarily referred to the transport of goods, procurement of raw materials and payments.

Cadez urged all the businessmen affected by the crisis in Ukraine to report to the SCC in order to receive help regarding the transport of goods, payments and other problems.

„We have excellent communication with the president of Serbia, the prime minister, the ministries and we are all trying to react as soon as possible. Specific proposals have been made, starting from the preservation of the industry of construction materials to the export of fruit and vegetables. We need to help the economy find alternative markets both for the distribution of its goods and for the import of raw materials,“ said the President of the SCC.
