They purchased a lot: Without dividends of Telekom this year
The Supervisory Board of „Telekom Srbija“ has scheduled a Shareholders’ Assembly for June 26th, at which last year’s individual and consolidated financial statements will be adopted, and one of the items on the agenda will also be the decision on distribution of profit. According to Nenad Gujanicic of the „Momentum Securities“ brokerage, unlike previous years when company mostly paid more than half of the profit via dividend, this time management proposed that that realized profit from 2018 is retained as unallocated profit. „Likely reasons for such a proposal are growth of company’s debt and continuation of downward trend in profitability,“ he evaluates. The national telecommunication company recorded a profit growth of 0.6 percent last year, to RSD 88.8 billion, while at the same time business profit declined by 27.2 percent, to RSD 8.9 billion. Realized net profit was RSD 10.2 billion and it was lower by 30.1 percent when compared to the year before.
