The EBRD is considering providing a large sum of money for projects in Serbia: There are a lot of zeros

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is considering providing 500 million euros for financing projects in Serbia. This was stated by the Regional Director of EBRD Zsuzsanna Hargitai at the Kopaonik Business Forum.

She said she would like the EBRD to have even stronger co-operation with both public and state-owned enterprises, and with the private sector, and that she believed that GDP growth in Serbia of over four percent in the past period was not a coincidence as some economists and businessmen believed, B92 reported, citing agencies.

She pointed out that she thought that in the coming period the expected growth of Serbia’s GDP of 3.5 percent would be revised, and she stressed that the previous level of GDP of over four percent was influenced by high growth rate of export and growth in demand on the domestic market.
