Skoda or VW – Serbia definitely OUT of the game

The biggest Czech carmanufacturer, Skoda based in Mlada Boleslav, will build a new factory either inTurkey or in Bulgaria, but it is still not clear whether Skoda or the groupwill manage the new factory, which will also produce the other models of theVolkswagen Group,  apart from Skodamodels. „Turkey is definitely selected, where infrastructure is good, butthe political environment is uncertain, while the other serious location ismore stable Bulgaria, which is part of the European Union,“ leader of theSkoda trade union, Jaroslav Povsik, said about the selection of two finalcandidates. Skoda, which has been operating since its privatization back in1991 as a member of the Volkswagen Group, announced a new factory in Novemberlast year, as its three factories in the Czech Republic and partner factoriesabroad were no longer able to meet the demand, which reached 1.25 million ofcars delivered to more than 100 markets in the world last year.
