Serbs still have higher salaries than Macedonians and Albanians
An average net salary in Serbia of EUR422 is among the lowest in both Europe and region, since only citizens of Macedonia and Albania receive less, Demostat Research and Media Center has announced.
“Such wages in Serbia reflect poor economic situation,” Demostat has announced. It is added that condition in Serbia can only improve through adoption of prudential strategy of economic development, securing same conditions for all participants of the market game, reindustrialization process and development of high technologies.
Residents of Serbia are worried the most that average salaries are higher even in countries of the region, except for Macedonia where average salary is EUR376 and Albania with an average salary of EUR378. Average salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina is EUR440, EUR512 in Montenegro, EUR832 in Croatia, EUR1.077 in Slovenia, EUR703 in Hungary, EUR535 in Romania and EUR457 in Bulgaria.
