Serbia imported EUR 2.26 billion worth of goods in May, TWICE more than in 2020
Serbia exported goods worth around EUR 1.66 billion, i.e., 40.7 percent more than in the same month last year.
Imports amounted to EUR 2.26 billion, which is an increase of 48.2 percent, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.
The first place on the list of the top five products in exports goes to wiring sets for airplanes, vehicles and ships (USD 104 million), the second place belongs to export of cooper and concentrate (USD 68 million).
In that period, crude oil was imported the most (USD 84 million), followed by retail medicines (USD 69 million), while natural gas was in third place (USD 38 million).
The total foreign trade of Serbia for the period January-May 2021 amounts to EUR 18.8 billion.
Exports of goods, expressed in euros, had a value of EUR 8.2 billion, which is an increase of 28.3 percent compared to the same period last year. Imports of goods had a value of EUR 10.5 billion, which is 18.3 percent more than in the same period last year.
