Serbia gets another factory: „We expect over 1,000 employees“

The German company Wacker Neuson, which manufactures construction machinery and overall mechanical equipment necessary for the construction industry, has begun the construction of a new factory in Kragujevac, in which it will invest 23 million euros.

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, attended the ceremony marking the beginning of the works on the construction of the new factory.

He said that Kragujevac was the right town for investments, because it had always been a town of industry, and he called on other companies to invest in the largest town in Sumadija.

Recalling that the German company Wacker Neuson has come a long way since its establishment until today, when its shares are traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the President said that he lived for the day when Serbia would have many family companies, which would be leaders in various industries.

„I hope that other investors will be additionally interested in investing in Kragujevac,“ said Vucic, adding that companies recognized the work ethic of our people and that our country was thus in the company of those we thought were far ahead of us.
