
Second biggest bus carrier in Serbia sold: Arriva Litas has a new owner
Arriva Group, the European provider of passenger transport services, has reached an agreement on the sale of its Danish company Arriva Denmark A/S and Serbian company Arriva Litas d.o.o., as well as its bus operations in Poland Arriva Bus Transport Polska SP. z o.o. Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, to an international financial investor, as it was published on the website of the Zivkovic/Samardzic lawfirm.
The sale covered the entire Danish business, the entire Serbian business, which is the second largest private bus operator in Serbia, as well as the Polish bus transport business.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, in accordance with normal closing conditions, including the approval of the Deutsche Bahn supervisory board, and the German Federal Ministry for Digital Transport, as well as the antitrust approval of the relevant local authorities.
The UK-based Arriva Group is part of the German Deutsche Bahn AG, one of the world’s leading passenger transport and logistics companies.
