Salaries of national team coaches at World Cup: Piksi is at 22nd place
Dragan Stojkovic Piksi is ranked 22nd in terms of the salaries of 32 coaches of national teams that will play at the World Cup in Qatar.
The Serbian national team coach earns 650,000 euros annually and shares 22nd place with Iranian coach Dragan Skocic, according to the specialized website on the football economy Finance Football.
The best paid among the coaches that will fight for the world title in Qatar is Hansi Flick, who receives 6.5 million euros annually from the Football Federation of Germany. He is followed by England’s Gareth Southgate with 5.8 million euros a year.
The third is Didier Deschamp. The winner of the World Cup in Russia defends the title with 3.8 million euros per year in France. Interestingly, Luis Enrique, the coach of Spain, is ranked 16th with 1.15 million euros a year.
Luis Enrique is behind Murat Yakin (Switzerland), Paulo Bento (South Korea), Graham Arnold (Australia), Gregg Berhalter (USA) and Roberto Martinez (Belgium), and he is paid the same as Kasper Hjulmand (Denmark). The reason for his low rank is that he recently agreed to a 25% pay cut.
Hajime Moriyasu, Japan’s coach, closes the „millionaire’s“ club with a million and 50 thousand euros a year.
The first under the line is Vahid Halilhodzic at 19th place, who, according to this source, earns 920,000 euros annually in Morocco. Zlatko Dalic, vice-champion of the world from Russia, receives 550,000 euros annually and he is in the lower part of the list. Croatia’s coach is ranked 20th.
The lowest salary is paid to Tunisia’s coach, Jalel Kadri, at 130,000 euros a year.
