    Salaries in the public sector „HIGHER“ by RSD 7,000 than in the private sector

    Data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia on April salaries in Serbia show that salaries in the public sector are higher than in the private sector, since the average salary without taxes and contributions in the public sector was RSD 77,886, which is almost 7,000 dinars more than salaries in the private sector, where the average is RSD 70,975.

    When it comes to salaries in the public sector, the highest salaries are received by the employees in the state administration, on average RSD 86,889, and they are followed by the employees in public state enterprises with an average salary or RSD 86,149, while the provincial administration with an average of RSD 83,758 is ranked third.

    The local administration lags behind the provincial one by almost RSD 20,000, so the average salary of local civil servants is RSD 64,700, while workers in local public enterprises fared slightly better than local civil servants and receive an average of RSD 67,981.

    The average salary of employees in education and culture is RSD 70,431, and in health care and social services RSD 79,067.
