Production of Electricity Increased

Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) produced 11.3 percent more electricity in the first quarter of 2018 than in the same period of the previous year, said Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic, adding that last year all energy companies in Serbia ended the year on a positive note.

Antic estimated that the Government of Serbia, together with the IMF and the World Bank, managed to make significant progress when it comes to energy companies.

“We managed to stabilize troubled companies,” Antic said.

“For the first time in history, all energy companies are doing business positively, which is good for both citizens and for Serbia,” Antic said, adding that EPS is paying back its own debts.
