Our young computer scientists amazed at the European Olympics
All four members of Serbian national team won medals at the 2nd European Junior Olympiad in Informatics in Russia, the Society of Mathematicians of Serbia announced.
Jovan Bengin from Belgrade based Mathematical Grammar School and Miroslav Grubic from Novi Sad based grammar school “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“ won silver medals, while Mateja Vukelic from Mathematical Grammar School and Veljko Toljic from Leskovac based elementary school „Vozd Karadjordje“ won bronze medals.
Competition in the Russian town of Innopolis was attended by pupils individually, but each country is represented by a team of four pupils. According to unofficial team rankings by countries, Serbia shares 5th place among 21 national teams.
Contestants solved six tasks, three each day, in programming languages “C ++” and “Java.”
