„Not even half a cup of espresso in cafes“: How Nedimovic sees MORE EXPENSIVE OIL

Minister of Agriculture, Branislav Nedimovic, states that the price of oil has gone up because the price of raw sunflower has also gone up, and sunflower is the raw material from which oil is produced.

Nedimovic said for Prva TV that oil prices at the moment were between RSD 165 and 205 per litre.

„When the price of oil goes up by RSD 10, since on average one family consumes a maximum of four litres of oil per month, this is forty dinars. Well, this is not even the price of half a cup of espresso in a café,“ Nedimovic said.

He states that the price of raw sunflower was RSD 36 per kilogram, while today it is approximately RSD 60. He adds that the price of oil has not been increased in proportion to the price of raw sunflower, but less.

„I know that last year the oil cost between RSD 120 and 140, now the price is between RSD 165 and 205. The fact is that there was a hike, but it accompanies an input,“ Nedimovic said.

He added that the prices of all cereals „have gone wild“, which, according to him, was good for Serbia and farmers.
