Niska Banja „for sale“

“Ozren” Hotel in Niska Banja will be offered to buyers at the end of December or early next year, while the sale of “Partizan” Hotel in Niska Banja was suspended due to potential successor who filed a request to the Restitution Agency, President of the Municipality Niska Banja Dejan Jovanovic has stated with Beta agency.

“Potential successors of Milivoje Milenkovic who built the hotel have reported to the Agency and a procedure is underway to prove that they are indeed successors. While juridical court does not resolve property-legal affairs, the sales procedure for Hotel “Partizan” cannot be active,“ Jovanovic has said.

He has said that the problem of claims by employees of “Srbijaturist”, because of which “Ozren”, once owned by the above mentioned company has not been offered to buyers so far, has been resolved.

Hotels „Partizan“, „Ozren“ and „Srbija“, the three largest hotels in Niska Banja, have not been working for almost two decades, since privatization of “Srbijaturist”, to which they belonged, failed.

“Srbija” Hotel is left in ruins, and “Partizan” was offered to buyers at the initial price of RSD310 million this year, but no one applied for the tender.

The top floor and the floor below were burnt down in a fire that broke out in hotel in July, while firefighters managed to save the first and the second floor of the hotel.

For decades “Partizan” Hotel was one of the most beautiful buildings in Nis, spreading across 4.700 square metres, with more than 130 beds for guests, several meeting rooms and numerous other amenities.

It was built from 1935 to 1937 by Nis based industrialist Milivoje Milenkovic, and after the war it was managed by „Srbijaturist“.
