N1: VW is yet to decide, Serbia still in the game

Despite the reports by the German agency which does not mention Serbia at all, claiming that the current dilemma is „either Bulgaria or Turkey,“ Volkswagen has told N1 TV that all the options are still open.

Although the German agency DPA announced a few days ago that Volkswagen had narrowed the choice down to Bulgaria and Turkey as the location for a new factory, the German company says that no decision has been made yet.

„Thank you for your interest in the new factory. We are still at the stage of defining the necessary requirements and researching potential locations in Eastern European countries. The decision has not been made yet. Please, take into account that we cannot share internal plans and strategies, due to the competition-related reasons. Thank you very much for your understanding,“ it is stated in the response of the German company.
