Million passengers travelled by high-speed train
The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia has announced that Srbija voz has transported one million passengers on the Belgrade-Novi Sad high-speed train route.
The millionth passenger on the route, open to regular traffic on March 19, got an annual train ticket from the railway company.
„A record number of passengers shows that the Serbian railway is on an excellent path to use its potential for the economic and social development of our country and the entire region,“ said Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic, after welcoming one millionth passenger.
He said that the works on the railway to Subotica were continuing and that the works on the high-speed railway between Belgrade and Nis would be further accelerated.
