Managers earned almost EUR 5 million from domestic football transfers
According to the official report of the Football Association of Serbia, sports managers have earned EUR 4,789,999.59 from transfers in Serbian football in the past 12 months.
The report refers to fees for intermediaries when club is buying and selling players. According to UEFA rules, all national federations are obliged to disclose such documents.
From March 28th, 2018 to March 28th, 2019, football club Red Star had the biggest number of transfers, and agents earned over EUR 3.8 million from those business activities. As for football club Partizan, they earned more than EUR800,000 and EUR 16,000 from football club Napredak, and this is all available information.
The football club Cukaricki is the only other club that has delivered a list of all transfers and intermediaries to the Football Association of Serbia, but without concrete numbers, thus, all in all report mentions only four out of sixteen clubs that are competing in the Serbian football championship.
As for Red Star’s business activities, sale of a member of Serbia’s national football team Nemanja Radonjic to Marseille earned the biggest profit to intermediaries, a total of EUR 960,000.
