Luxury drinks and coffee MISSING from the customs warehouse

During inspection of customs warehouse in Viline vode in Belgrade, employees of the Belgrade Customs Office found out that „luxury alcoholic beverages“ and „espresso“ coffee, in total value of 60,460, are missing, the Customs Administration announced. These goods are presumed to have been „cleared for sale“ before the customs import duty payment procedure has been carried out. Therefore, the importer will have to settle all obligations towards state and pay import duties on the missing goods and then be held liable for misuse and improper record keeping. The warehouse keeper is a Belgrade-based company, and the importer is „also a renowned Belgrade-based company,“ the statement said.
