    Lidl opened logistics centre in Serbia

    Logistics centre of the company Lidl has been opened in Nova Pazova and representatives of that German supermarket chain have announced that they will open between 10 and 20 retail outlets in Serbia.

    Lidl’s facility in Nova Pazova employs 1580 people, as it spreads across 45,000 square metres, has a space for 30,000 pallets and a capacity to supply 100 retail outlets.

    The company Lidl has 500 employees in Serbia and competition for employment of more than 1,000 cashiers has been announced.

    General Manager of the company Lidl Srbija Tomislav Sapina has said that this supermarket chain will offer fresh and quality goods in Serbia at best price, as it did in other countries as well.

    “We also offer good labour conditions and an adequate pay in a pleasant atmosphere,” Sapina has said.

    As published, Lidl invested EUR55 million in Nova Pazova based logistics centre and hired 50 domestic contractors with 2,000 workers.
