Law on Youth Support adopted: Payment of EUR 100 to start on February 1

Members of the Serbian Parliament have adopted the law that will enable the payment of financial support to young people, citizens of Serbia, in the amount of 100 euros in RSD countervalue.

This is the Bill on the Provisional Register of the Citizens of the Republic of Serbia from 16 to 29 years of age, who will receive financial aid for the purpose of mitigating the consequences of the covid19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, told the MPs in the Parliament of Serbia that the application process would start on Saturday, January 15, and end on January 30.

„As of February 1, we will start paying everyone who applied for this support. Young people aged 16 to 29 on the day of entry into force of this law can apply,“ said Mali.

According to him, the money will be paid on February 1, 2 and 3. The minister also said that young people from the age of 16 to the age of 29 on the day of entry into force of the law can apply for the assistance in the amount of 100 euros.

The application is done electronically, through the portal of the Treasury Administration, and the minister said that the application process was simple.

„ID card number, personal ID number and the selection of an account in the bank where you want to receive 100 euros. If a person does not have a bank account, he/she chooses only the name of a bank, and we will open an account in that bank on his/her behalf, and he/she will be able to withdraw that money with a personal ID document,“ said Mali.
