Last year, as many as 64,000 inspections of undeclared work
Minister of Labor, Employment, Social and Veterans’ Affairs, Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, has said that 212 labour inspectors performed about 64,000 inspections of undeclared work in Serbia in 2021.
As she stated, that is 1,500 more inspections than in 2020.
Kisic Tepavcevic said that in 2021, there were 5,261 lawsuits, which is 12 percent less than in 2020 and even 60 percent less than in 2019.
She pointed out that this showed significant increase in the work of the inspection department and a decrease in undeclared work.
The minister added that in the last four years, out of 47,176 illegal workers, three quarters of them, i.e. over 30,000 workers have established employment for an indefinite period of time.
