JOBS for 1,000 more inspectors, higher SALARY and restoring REPUTATION
The inspection authority of the republic of Serbia will soon employ 1,000 new inspectors and their salaries will be increased by RSD 14,000 on average, the Vecernje Novosti daily reports. According to announcements by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, instead of the current amount of RSD 48,000, they will receive RSD 62,000. Dragan Pusara of the Ministry of Labor has told the newspaper that they are working on excluding them from the restrictions on the classification of civil servants, which should lead to the promotion of almost all republic inspectors to the position of an independent advisor. The average age of inspectors in the republic inspection authority is 56 years of age, and almost all of the administration rationalizations in the past affected them, Pusara says. Apart from better pay, inspectors can also expect better status and equipment in the next month.
