“It does not jeopardise domestic market”: Export of organic products allowed

The Government of Serbia has decided to exempt food products of organic origin from the ban on the export of agricultural products.

As the Government of Serbia stated in a press release, this exemption will not jeopardize the domestic market.

„Bearing in mind the small areas where organic production takes place in the Republic of Serbia, the sector that is still being developed in Serbia, and the fact that these products are primarily intended for export, it has been estimated that the exemption from the existing ban does not jeopardize the domestic market and food security of the population,“ the press release reads.
