In October, we saved almost 15% of electricity
This October, consumers in Serbia consumed 14.34 percent less electricity than in the same month of 2021 , according to the data of Elektrodistribucija (EDS).
The biggest decrease among the five distribution centres, which is how many EDS has in its system, was recorded in Belgrade, and the lowest in Kraljevo.
„In the distribution area of Belgrade, the consumption of electricity in October this year was about 547.5 million kilowatt hours, which is 18.91 percent less than in October last year, in Novi Sad the consumption was 597 million kilowatt hours, by 12.92 percent less than in the same period last year,“ EDS said.
In the distribution area of Kragujevac, the consumption of electricity in October was 148 million kilowatt hours, 13.86 percent less than in the same period last year, and in Nis 349 million or 14.31 percent less than in October 2021.
The flow of electricity in October in Kraljevo, according to EDS’s data, was 526 million kilowatt hours, which is 10.91 percent less than in the same month last year.
„When evaluating this data, one should take into account the different causes that affect the amount of electricity consumption this and last year, such as weather conditions, average daily temperature,“ EDS explained.
