    How high is our DEFICIT in the first six months of this year?

    At the end of June this year, Serbia’s public debt amounted to 31.3 billion euros, which is 53.2 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance announced.

    At the end of May, the public debt was about 30.7 billion euros and its share in GDP was 52.3%.

    Public debt amounted to 30.1 billion euros at the end of last year, which was 56.5% of GDP.

    The deficit of the Serbian budget in the first half of this year amounted to RSD 35.7 billion, because revenues amounted to RSD 830.1 billion, and expenditures amounted to RSD 865.7 billion, the Ministry said in a statement.

    In  June, budget surplus of RSD 35.4 billion was realized, and revenues amounted to RSD 175.1 billion, of which tax revenues amounted to RSD 163.9 billion.

    The largest part of tax revenues refers to the payment of VAT in the amount of RSD 61.6 billion, income tax in the amount of RSD 48.2 billion (in June, liabilities based on the final financial statement are paid) and excise duties in the amount of RSD 29.7 billion.
