FIRST TRAIN departs from China to Serbia to arrive in 25 days
Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic has said that the first railway route between Serbia and China has been established, and that the first freight train has set off to our country. The first freight train departed for Serbia on Tuesday from the Chinese city of Jinan in the province of Shandong. „This composition contains equipment used by the Chinese companies CRBC and CCCC for building the high-speed railway from Belgrade to Budapest. Thereby, Serbia got a cargo railway route with China,“ said Zorana Mihajlovic, according to the Ministry of Construction. The distance between Jinan and Belgrade is about 10,500 kilometres and the journey will take 25 days. The train passes through China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary, from where it comes to Serbia.
