First freight trains on Belgrade – Novi Sad high-speed railway

For the first time since the high-speed railway between Belgrade and Novi Sad was built and opened for traffic, freight train traffic was organized last night, said the company Infrastruktura zeleznice Srbije.

The statement says that during the night, a total of seven freight trains operated on the high-speed railway between Belgrade and Novi Sad, of which five from Belgrade in the north direction, and two from Novi Sad to the capital.

Traffic of freight trains will take place every night, starting from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., on the sections of the Stara Pazova-Novi Sad, Novi Sad-Ranzirna and Indjija-Novi Sad-Novi Sad-Ranzirna highspeed railway.

According to the announcements so far, there will be between five and ten freight compositions on the high-speed railway between Belgrade and Novi Sad every night, says the statement.
