Fiat losing its privileges and continuing with production in Kragujevac
The company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is definitely continuing its work in Kragujevac, although losing the privileges it had in the previous agreement. The 10-year agreement will expire on September 29th, but serial production of the 500L model with hybrid engine has already begun in facilities of this plant, the Vecernje novosti daily report.
Assembly of this model with an electric engine will also commence in Kragujevac soon. A completely new car model could leave the assembly line in the second half of the following year.
Officials of Turin based company have “hinted” management of “Fiat Srbija” that a new agreement on business-technical cooperation between FCA and state of Serbia will not change essentially, when compared to a previous decade.
