Even more square meters in capital: 33 PERCENT INCREASE in building permits

In June this year, 2,421 construction permits were issued in Serbia, which is 32.2 percent more than a year ago, the Statistical Office of Serbia has communicated.

81.7 percent of permits refer to the construction of buildings, and 18.3 percent to other structures, and the estimated value of new construction works in June is 85.2 percent of the total estimated value of works.

74 percent of the total building permits were issued for the construction of residential buildings, while for other structures, the majority refers to pipelines, communication and electrical lines (69 percent).

According to the permits issued in June, construction of 2,629 apartments was reported, with an average area of 76 square meters.
