EBRD: Serbia’s GDP growth 2% this year
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has updated its forecasts of the regional economic prospect and it estimated for Serbia that GDP growth in 2022 was 2.3 percent, and that it would be 2.0 percent this year.
According to the EBRD, this reduced Serbia’s GDP growth estimate this year by 1.3 percent compared to the latest report from September last year. The EBRD has estimated that in 2024, GDP growth in Serbia will be 3.5 percent.
For the Western Balkans region, GDP growth was estimated to be 3.0 percent in 2022, that it would be 2.2 percent this year, and 3.4 percent in 2024.
Compared to the latest report and the September estimate of the EBRD, the estimated GDP growth for the Western Balkans decreased by 0.8% this year, it is posted on the bank’s website.
