EBRD and UniCredit Bank encourage energy efficiency in Serbia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has provided UniCredit Bank with the funds in the amount of 600 million dinars in order to encourage financing green economy.

This credit line is part of the EBRD’s GEFF Green Economy Financing Facility in the Western Balkans, in the total amount of EUR 85 million, which is implemented in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Energy Community.

The initiative was designed to provide support to local households, residential communities and vendors of energy efficient technologies for investing in energy efficiency measures and renewable energy projects.

In order to encourage investment in green technology, the European Union, together with the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria and the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans, provides funding for financial incentives and technical support.
