Dejan Bodiroga becomes President of EuroLeague
Famous Serbian basketball player Dejan Bodiroga will take over the position of president of EuroLeague, while Marshall Glickman will take over the position of interim CEO.
Eurohoops reports that they will be nominated for the posts on Friday at a shareholders’ meeting.
This portal reports that EuroLeague owners have been thinking for a long time and made the decision to appoint Bodiroga to this position because they expect him, as someone who understands basketball, to completely transform and revive the competition.
In addition, it is stated that the celebrated ace, in addition to his reputation, career and the knowledge he has, also has excellent understanding of the mentality in most countries where EuroLeague clubs come from, and that the additional advantage is that he speaks English, Italian, Spanish, and basic Greek.
The news that Bodiroga will become the head of EuroLeague appeared for the first time in May this year.
