CLS: Citizens of Belgrade, expect higher bills as of January

Director of the Center for Local Self-Government, Nikola Jovanovic, has said that the citizens of Belgrade can expect new increases in the prices of public utilities from January.

As Jovanovic stated in a press release, the public utility company Gradsko stambeno and Beogradski vodovod i kanalizacija submitted a request to Mayor Aleksandar Sapic for an increase in the prices of their services, by 20 and 12.5 percent respectively.

„Both of these price increases can be expected on the payment slip of Infostan from February 1, while the new price of Gradska cistoca will come into effect already from January, for which the mayor gave his consent at the end of October,“ Jovanovic said.

He recalled that Beogradske elektrane requested two price adjustments in 2023.
