Citizens of Pirot overtook citizens of Nis in August: What are the salaries in southern Serbia?

In all the cities and municipalities in southern Serbia, except for Trgoviste, according to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, August net earnings are higher than in July, while average salaries in the first eight months, compared to last year, were higher in all towns.

In August, the residents of Trgoviste earned an average of RSD 55,947, which is 1.9 percent less than in July.

August salaries in the towns and municipalities in southern Serbia were higher by two to three percent compared to July, with the highest pay rise of 11.5 percent registered in Pirot.

The residents of that town earned on average RSD 73,190 and overtook the residents of Nis, whose August net salaries amounted to RSD 72,291

Salaries are highest in Medijana

Official statistics show that in southern Serbia, the highest paid people continue to be the residents of the municipality of Medijana in Nis, because their average salaries amounted to RSD 81,761.

The lowest revenues, on average RSD 50,413, were earned by the residents of Bojnik, and at the very bottom of the income scale are also the residents of Presevo with an average salary of RSD 51,316, Razanj RSD 52,680 and Blace RSD 52,964.

The best paid people in Serbia are the residents of the municipalities of Vracar, Stari Grad and Novi Beograd in Belgrade. Earnings excluding taxes and contributions amounted to RSD 127,503 in Vracar, RSD 126,226 in Stari Grad, and RSD 123,036 in Novi Beograd.

Average earnings in Serbia in August were RSD 75,282, which is three percent more than in July.
