Brnabic: All 2,000 apartments for security officers in Novi Sad are sold (PHOTO)

In Novi Sad, all 2,000 apartments for members of the security forces have already been sold, said Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, adding that the project of building apartments was a signal for everyone who worked for the civil service.

„We thank you, the members of the security forces for everything you do to make all of us, other citizens, feel safe and secure,“ Brnabic said when handing over the keys to the tenants of the first 14 apartments built for the members of security forces in the Jugovicevo quarter in Novi Sad.

She announced that the construction of the second phase of apartments for members of the security forces would begin in Novi Sad by the end of the summer.

As it is stated, 548 apartments have been completed in Novi Sad so far, and when they are all completed in the quarter built on the site of the former Jugovicevo barracks, about 10,000 people will live there.

She noted that „the project of the construction of apartments for security officers was a signal to the others – doctors, teachers, professors, kindergarten teachers, fire-fighters, everyone who works for the civil service and fights for Serbia – that there is a better tomorrow.“

It was high time for the state to do something concrete, such as building apartments for the members of the security services and thus show gratitude, but also show what kind of a state we were today – serious, which took care of its citizens, said Brnabic.
