BIP sold to „AutoČačak“ for RSD 2 billion
The Belgrade beer industry (BIP) in bankruptcy was bought by the „AutoČačak“ company for RSD 2.09 billion.
„AutoČačak“ was the only bidder that submitted an offer for BIP at the public tender of the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency.
After a failed privatisation, BIP went bankrupt in 2016, and its estimated value was RSD 4.17 billion.
The most important assets of BIP are their brewery in Belgrade, real estate and production facilities at several locations in Belgrade, Cacak and Kragujevac, as well as registered product trademarks.
Before privatisation in 2007, the brewery had approximately 500 employees.
Today, only 150 workers remain in the factory.
