Belgrade budget revision: More money for the city and municipalities

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, has said that the City Council adopted the revision of the budget of Belgrade, which will be discussed by the members of the Assembly next week.

He told Radio-televizija Srbije (RTS) that the budget that would be adopted on February 14 would amount to more than RSD 165.9 billion, adding that it was the capital’s highest budget so far.

„The budget of city municipalities has been significantly increased, by about seven percent, and the budget of the city by about three percent,“ said Vesic.

According to him, the budget for the environment has been increased by about ten percent.

Vesic said that the purchase of tablet computers for students will be financed, as well as textbooks for parents whose children will enrol in the first and second grade this year.

Namely, on December 21, 2021, the councillors adopted the budget of Belgrade for 2022, which amounts to more than 160 billion dinars.
