BBC journalist „nominates“ Djokovic as president of Serbia
During the Wimbledon quarter-final match between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, BBC commentator Chris Bradnam said the Serbian tennis player could one day easily become president of Serbia, British Express reported.
Bradnam shared this idea when Novak Djokovic was leading with 3:0 in the first set, probably without realizing that the drama was coming.
Sinner won the first two sets, but the Serbian tennis player turned the match around winning with – 5:7, 2:6, 6:3, 6:2, 6:2.
„Djokovic has a lot of fans wherever he plays and they follow him passionately,“ the BBC commentator said, while the camera was zooming on the fans with the Serbian flag in the stands, adding:
„I wonder if one day he will enter politics and become president of Serbia. I think he would win the election convincingly.”
