Average salary in Serbia in December reached almost RSD 75,000

The average salary in Serbia in December last year amounted to RSD 74,629 and it was nominally higher by 12.9 percent than in the same month in 2020, and the real increase was 4.6 percent, said the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

The median net salary for December amounted to RSD 53,349, which means that 50 percent of employees had a salary up to that amount.

The average gross salary was RSD 102,196, which is a nominal increase of 12.5 percent compared to December 2020, and in real terms an increase of 4.3 percent.

The growth of net salaries in the period January-December 2021, compared to the same period last year, amounted to 9.6 percent in nominal terms and 5.4 percent in real terms, and gross salaries by 9.4 percent in nominal terms and 5.2 percent in real terms.

As for salaries in the capital, in December, according to official data, based on the methodology used by the European Union, it amounted to EUR 806, Beoinfo reported.
