    August expenditures from August “left a mark” on surplus

    State budget recorded a deficit in August, in the amount of RSD12.3 billion, the Ministry of Finance has announced.

    Collection of revenues in August amounted to RSD93.4 billion, of which 79 billion refer to tax revenues. The largest part of tax revenues refers to VAT payments, in the amount of RSD39.5 billion, and excises, RSD23.1 billion respectively.

    Expenditures reached RSD105.7 billion in August, out of which expenses for employees „weighed“ 21 billion, and transfers to the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the National Health Insurance Fund, the National Employment Service and the Fund for Social Insurance of Military Beneficiaries amounted to RSD15 billion.

    In the period between January and August 2018, a surplus of RSD36.8 billion was realized. Revenues were collected in the amount of RSD770.8 billion, while expenditures amounted to RSD734 billion. At the general state level, the fiscal surplus in the amount of RSD41.1 billion was realized, as well as a primary surplus of RSD122.9 billion.

    According to the annual plan for implementation of the general state budget, a fiscal deficit of RSD4.7 billion was planned for this period, meaning that the achieved result was better for RSD45.8 billion, according to the report named Macroeconomic and Fiscal data of the Ministry of Finance.
