Farmers to receive 175 million euros from the IPARD program
Farmers have been presented with decisions on non-refundable grant approval for EUR175 million, of the European Uninon’s IPARD program, intended for purchase of new equipment and machinery.
Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi has said that IPARD program represents a turning point that enabled Serbia to become a part of Europe’s joint agricultural policy.
“By procuring tractors and other equipment we want to provide Serbian farmers proper and efficient tools with which they can do their job,” Fabrizi has said, reminding that export of agricultural products from Serbia to the EU has doubled in the last couple of years.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic has stated that another public call for incentives for IPARD agricultural farms in Serbia will be announced by the end of November.
