As of January, there will be seven subsidized routes instead of 12 from Constantine Airport

The Government of Serbia has adopted a decision according to which new air routes from Constantine the Great Airport in Nis should be introduced from January 1, 2022.

In addition to some already known destinations, as it is reported, it will be possible to fly from Nis Airport to Belgrade, Istanbul, Athens and Cologne. This decision annulled the previous one, which subsidized the lines to 12 destinations to which planes flew from Nis.

The new decision on the routes of public interest was adopted by the Government at the end of October, and some of them are the already known destinations: Frankfurt (Han), Ljubljana and Tivat, while the additional routes are Nis – Athens, Nis – Istanbul, Nis – Cologne and Nis – Belgrade. In addition to them, the document also includes routes from Kraljevo to Thessaloniki, Tivat and Istanbul.

The regular air transport referred to in point 1 of this decision will be performed in the period from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023, the decision reads.
