Application for state aid for apartment purchase begins

All interested parties can submit applications for exercising the right to state aid, i.e. subsidies for the purchase of a detached house or an apartment based on the birth of a child.

As stated by the Secretary of Social Protection, Natasa Stanisavljevic, at the session of the Government of Serbia, the Regulation on specific conditions and manner of exercising the right to finances for the construction, participation in purchase, i.e. purchase of a detached house or an apartment based on the birth of a child was adopted, as well as the Decision on the amount of funds for these purposes in 2022.

The Regulation stipulates that the right to these funds can be exercised by a mother for a child born on January 1, 2022 and later, and exceptionally, in the event of the death of the mother of the child, the right can be exercised by the father of the child provided that he acquires the property of a house or apartment on the territory of Serbia for the first time, it is published on the website of the City of Belgrade.

Applications for exercising this right with the accompanying documentation prescribed by the regulation will be submitted through the competent authority of the local self-government unit within one year from the date of the birth of a child.
