Another 100,000 Russian vaccines have arrived: The first „Sputnik V“ doses to be produced in Serbia by May 17th

Another 100,000 doses of the Russian vaccine „Sputnik V“ have arrived in Serbia. Vaccines from Russia have been delivered to the Nikola Tesla Airport after 4 pm.

„This is an ongoing process, not for a moment did Russia think not to deliver vaccines to Serbia and all this time Serbia was number one priority among our Russian partners, “ said Minister Nenad Popovic, expressing gratitude to the Russian government, President Vladimir Putin, the Generium factory and the Gamaleya Institute, where the vaccines were made.

According to RTS, Popovic said that the delivery of vaccines from Russia will continue, as well as that new quantities will arrive every week.

He points out that Serbia, together with its Russian partners – the Direct Investment Fund and the Ministry of Industry – is establishing production at the Torlak Institute.

„We are convinced that we will be able to produce the first ‘Sputnik V’ vaccines here in Serbia by May 17th,“ Popovic concluded.
