Al Dahra invests additional EUR 25 million in production development
An international corporation specializing in agribusiness and innovative food solutions, Al Dahra, which bought the assets of the former agricultural complex Poljoprivredni kombinat Beograd (PKB) three years ago, has announced that it will invest additional 25 million euros in the company development in 2022.
Out of the planned investment, nine million euros will be invested in the modernisation of machinery intended for farming. The rest will be aimed at improving production in other business segments, as well as the start of works related to the irrigation project.
Along with the announced investments for this year, this global leader in the world of agriculture plans to implement the mentioned irrigation and drainage project worth 80 million euros in the next four years. The state-of-the-art irrigation system will allow arable land to be irrigated in a timely manner, which will significantly increase yields.
As the company’s CEO points out, since it took over the assets of the former PKB and started operations in Serbia, Al Dahra has invested about 60 million euros. That is twice as much as it was stipulated in the agreement with the state.
