Adopted: Postpartum women to receive at least a MINIMUM WAGE
The compensation for maternity leave cannot be less than the minimum wage determined on the day of beginning of that leave, the Ministry of Family Care and Demography announced.
This is foreseen by the amendments to the Law on Financial Support to Family with Children, adopted yesterday, whose proposer is the Ministry of Family Care and Demography.
The MPs also adopted a proposal that this law, due to a particular social interest, enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette, and not eight days after its publication, which is the standard practice.
