A big global producer decided to get settled in Svilajnac
The Italian company Ariston will open a factory in Svilajnac, in which more than 100 employees will be employed, announced the Mayor of Svilajnac, Predrag Milanovic.
A contract was signed for the lease of a 4,000-square-meter hall in the industrial zone „Veliko Polje“, and they plan to purchase the hall if they are satisfied with the business operation and production.
Milanovic said that there were dozens of towns in Serbia in the competition for opening the factory, but the investor decided on Svilajnac.
„This factory will employ more than 100 workers, it will produce heating elements for household appliances for the whole world, thus heating elements will be supplied from Svilajnac for big global brands of household appliances, such as Bosch, Gorenje and other global brands,” Milanovic said.
By the end of the year, equipment should arrive, and at the beginning of next year production should begin. Until then, the workers will receive training in Italy, because it is a complex job.
